This piece was based on an autumn sunset photo taken by the person who secretly commissioned the piece while staying with close friends at their lake home near the end of the Gunflint Trail in Northeastern Minnesota.

The commissioner sought to commemorate and honor the friendship with a needle felted landscape gift to always remind them of the amazing views from their home which they so generously share with their friends and family.
