All Are Welcome (II)

This commissioned piece is the second edition of my original ‘All Are Welcome,’ and includes more pinks and blues in the sky, additional tree and branch placements, and shades of green, as well as a dozen or more different tints of pink, blue, purple, and green pastel snow. We kept the leaning in perspective and 3D elements.

Below is a time-lapse video showing how the piece evolved. For this project, I was diligent about taking progress photos at the start of each felting session and at the end, allowing me to track my time. It took me 115 hours over 53 days. Quite a feat, but so worth it!

This piece used a lot of color blending just to create the different shades of snow, creating depth and perspective in the finished piece. I created at least 24 blends of 8 different hues of white. I relied on color cards to aid in the planning and hue matching.
