The client’s photo reference for this piece was taken at sunset in Crete, Greece, during a summer family vacation.

The client chose a custom solid walnut floating frame that perfectly complements the dark tones of the shadowed palm trunks, beach, and distant hills.

If you’ve followed my work, you know how much I love felting sunsets, especially on the water. While the palm trees and international location were firsts for me, the piece holds to the purpose behind my art—to preserve memories and moments and bring the recipient back to that place and time.
