This piece is a view of Nubble Lighthouse in Maine where my client proposed to his wife over 26 years ago. He wanted a black Lab added on the shore to represent one of their many beloved pets for an extra special touch.

The rolling water was fun to felt. And as much as I love a wilderness scene, I do enjoy adding structures now and then and I’m pleased with how the lighthouse and buildings came together. The custom floating frame I chose just oozes sand and rocky shore vibes and the pale blue tones in the wood grain are the perfect compliment to the sky and water.
