Sunset over Seagull II

Wet and needle felted using all natural wool, silk and Angelina fibers, framed in a custom black floating frame to expose the wrapped fiber edges.

This piece was based on a photo I took of a sunset on Seagull Lake near the end of the Gunflint Trail in Northeastern Minnesota near the Canadian border in September 2019. Where ‘Sunset on Seagull I‘ was based on portrait (vertical) orientation, ‘Sunset on Seagull II’ is landscape orientation.
